We worked with a bike manufacturer to create custom cardboard packaging that not only protected their bikes during transit but also highlighted their vibrant branding. The branding was a key element in elevating their customers’ opening experience and helped them to stand out from their competitors.
Solutions
Box Design and Style: To maximise protection, we designed the box using the FEFCO 0203 style, which includes fully overlapping flaps on the top and bottom. This added an extra layer of cardboard to protect the bikes from sharp objects that could pierce through and also meant that they couldn't burst through the tape when being moved.
Branding: We incorporated the companies colourful branding onto the box, ensuring that it stood out and attracted attention. This made the packaging functional and memorable, making it a key part of their branding efforts.
Additional Features: Handholes - We added handholes to the box design, making it easier for couriers and customers to safety move the product QR Code - A QR code was printed on the box, directing customers to the company’s website for further information. Print - To ensure the bikes arrived in top condition, we included a clear arrow marked ‘top’ on the packaging to guide handlers in the correct orientation.
